CAZEDEN FR

CAZEDEN FR is modified Polyester produced by Hosaf using UKANOL ES from Schill & Seilacher which gives a lasting Flame Retardant product.

The Flame Retardancy is permanent and structured into the fibre during the polycondensation process and, therefore, cannot be washed or worn out with continued use.

Textiles fabrics produced from CAZEDEN FR exhibit the same properties as regular Polyester but with the added Flame Retardant benefits, while negating the necessity for additional FR after treatments or finishes, therefore minimising environmental problems.

  

CAZEDEN FR contains no Halogens or Nitrogen compounds and is 100% recyclable. The phosphorous additive yields a lower melting point, prompting the fibres to shrink away from direct flame, avoiding drip formation and ultimately preventing sustained combustion by self-extinguishing.

Hosaf can supply the polymer in crystallised or uncrystallised form in the IV 0.60 and crystallised form for IV 0.80 and IV 1.0.

The polymer has been used to produce staple fibres as well as high tenacity filament yarns. Physical properties of fibres recommended for most upholstery, curtaining fabrics and lofted Non-woven applications:

CAZEDEN FR Fabrics and Non-woven waddings/products have been successfully tested against BS 5852:1990 (Crib 5 and Crib 7).
L.O.I. tests, based on BS EN 4589-2:1999, proved our fibres to be >36 and fabrics > 30.
